I can’t say enough good things about this office. Dr. Cohen, Cheyenne, and Tammy have been absolutely wonderful with our girls, Tuna and Peggy. From the moment you walk in, you can tell how much they truly care about the animals they treat. Tuna has a big personality and Peggy can be a little timid, and they’re always so patient, gentle, and understanding with both of them. It never feels rushed, and they take the time to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Both of our girls have had dentals here, and Tuna also had knee surgery. As a pet owner, it’s nerve-wracking when your dogs need anesthesia especially with brachycephalic breeds but I felt completely confident having them in the care of Dr. Cohen and this team. Knowing Tuna and Peggy are being cared for by people who are not only skilled but also genuinely compassionate means so much to us. We’re incredibly grateful to have found them and highly recommend.

I brought Hazel in for her annual and the team loved on her as always and did a great job answering my questions. Bailee, Dr. Romo, Tammy and Karen are the dream team! Making everything flow so smoothly! Hazel even got a toy to leave with

Dr Cohen is probably the most knowledgeable vet I have ever met. He explains things very calmly and thoroughly and is very caring as are the rest of his staff. Our dog Django came in with a bad cough and they fixed us right up! Our dog scout came in with a false heart worm test from another vet and they verified that she didn’t have heart worms. They have seen our 3 dogs now and I trust them very much! Thank y’all! Cait and Ashley were also amazing with him!

Absolutely loved my first visit here. My care team was Jessica, Dr. Romo, and Ashley, and everyone was wonderful from start to finish. I so appreciate the time Dr. Romo spent answering my questions and they were so good to my dog who was a little bit standoffish at first. Highly recommend this group, I know we have found our vet!

Lucy had her first visit at Wilkinson Animal Hospital, and we truly couldn’t have felt more welcomed. Dr. Karen Stewart, along with Kenzie and Ashley, provided exceptional care. They were so warm, patient, and attentive, taking the time to make sure Lucy was comfortable and that all of our questions were answered. We were honestly a little sad to leave our longtime veterinary family at Evergreen Woods in Oxford, CT, but the team at Wilkinson Animal Hospital immediately made us feel right at home. Their kindness and genuine love for animals really shine through. We’re so grateful to have found such a wonderful place to care for Lucy and look forward to many years with this amazing team. 🐾

Our Mini Dachshund Sadie tweaked her back (again) and she was in a lot of pain so we called Wilkinson hoping that we could get a last minute appointment to see Dr Romo. Ashley told us to come in and they would fit us in. We got to the office and we were quickly seen by Vet Assistant Kenzie who did the preliminary assessment and passed the info along to Dr Romo so she was up to speed when she came in to see Sadie. Dr Romo is awesome and she gave Sadie a thorough going over while we discussed the issue with her back and what the treatment options were. There is no question that the folks at Wilkinson truly care about their patients and their owners and are grateful for the referral from a family member that led us to Dr Romo. We absolutely recommend her and Wilkinson Animal Hospital.

I love Wilkinson Animal Hospital! I used to go somewhere else, but when no one else had an appt and couldn’t see us for days. Wilkinson took us right in. Today we were cared for by Dr.Romo, Addison, and, Tammy. It has always been a great experience from the front to the back. All staff are pleasant. I love Dr.Romo’s personality and her love for animals because it truly shows. My Oakley just loves her…You all are amazing!!!!

Wow— I don’t know what took us so long to leave a wonderful review for this team as their care for our (2) dogs, Bo and Rye, always goes above and beyond but today genuinely blew us out of the water with the care and support we received with our foster, Natty. Summer and Tammy were so kind and patient with Natty, and Dr. Moore did a phenomenal job in providing us resources, tips and tools to continue care for our foster. Our foster was labeled terminal by the shelter so we brought him to Dr. Moore for a second opinion and we are so glad we did. We learned that Natty has a fighting chance and after a personal and vulnerable one on one call with Dr. Moore we felt confident moving forward in the next steps to Natty’s recovery with realistic expectations of all possible outcomes with many great suggestions and tips as well as homeopathic support remedies to ensure Natty’s progress is successful. Thank you Wilkinson Animal Hospital for your patience and support of all of our boys (Bo, Rye, Natty)! They mean the world to us, so your care and kindness towards their health is invaluable and genuinely appreciated. (Before and after photo just hours apart from his visit today.)

If you own a French Bulldog, you know how important it is to find a vet who truly understands the breed. After moving to Charlotte, that was something I really struggled to find until Wilkinson. I have three Frenchies, and the team here has been amazing with all of them. They don’t just see “French Bulldogs,” they take the time to get to know each dog individually and treat them based on their specific needs and personalities. That means so much to me. The entire staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. My dogs actually get excited to walk in because they know they’re going to get lots of love and attention. A big thank you to Dr. Romo, Allison, and Ashley for taking such great care of Izzy and Blue, and to Dr. Virgin for taking wonderful care of little Murphy when he had his cherry eye. I’m so grateful to have found a team I trust with my three babies.

We have been a loyal customers (dog parents) of Wilkinson Animal Hospital since 1992. Through out the years we’ve experienced many positive changes. The doctors; vet techs; and admin staff have all been great to work with during each visit. The personal touch everyone provides to our dogs and to us as customers is very much appreciated. A special thanks goes out to our most recent (2/28/2026) care team Dr Virgin; Vet Techs Bailey and Addison for their caring service to Sadie and Poppy.
